24/7 canoe rental stations in and around Karlsborg
Forsvik – At lake Viken, just across from the entrance to Forsvik’s bruk lies Hegarts unmanned canoe rental station which is open 24/7. Enjoy Forsvik’s amazing surroundings with Göta kanal, the many islands of Lake Viken or Lake Bottensjön which leads you to vast Lake Vättern – Sweden’s second biggest lake. The canoe rental has 4 canoes, 2 paddle boards and 2 kayaks (one single and one double kayak)
Mölltorp – The unmanned canoe rental station is situated just at the shoreline of Lake Kyrksjön in central Mölltorp. Use the vessels as a nice complement to your beach experience or paddle a bit further and enjoy the landscape outside of the village. The station offers 2 stand up paddle boards and two family canoes.
Karlsborg – The unmanned canoe rental station will open at the Strandvägen beach in 2025, in the heart of Karlsborg with a fantastic view of Vättern. From the beach you can either paddle through Strömmen or Göta Kanal to the restaurants, cafés and Lake Bottensjön, or you can explore the Karlsborg lagoon in Lake Vättern with islands and the Vänas cape with its charming lightouse.
The stations offer 2 canoes, 2 kayaks (one single and one double) and 2 SUP’s which are easily rented through a website.
Edsån – The unmanned canoe rental station has canoes. Paddles and life vests are available at Skagagården.
